I was interviewed live by Carna-Zacharias Miller, a Certified EFT Practitioner from USA. This recording includes a 15 minute interview with me on the role EFT can play in combating depression. It also includes a live 40 minute EFT demonstration showing how EFT works and my personal way of working with EFT. This case involves an extremely traumatic memory.
These audio sessions have been made available by kind permission of a client as we work through many complex issues in a series of sessions. The first one is an example of how I start work with deeply buried problems and long term crippling anxiety and also the use of some of the more creative EFT techniques I use in my sessions.
This particular case is proving to be somewhat complex and multilayered, and we worked over a few weeks with many of the memories at a pace that is right for the client. By using some creative approaches it has been possible to access the issues behind the extreme anxiety and fear of hospitals and having cancer which has totally blighted her life. In this session we used a blended approach of EFT and Inner Theatre process. More information on the use of this technique can be found at http://www.innertheater.net After this session she felt she had made real progress on this issue although as with highly complex problems we are aware there is more to be uncovered.
Her comments were "I feel much stronger now and more confident, but I do not think all the fear has gone yet. I am still finding myself pushing my hospital thoughts away as quickly as I can when they surface. I feel definitely more in control and not a victim anymore I really feel like I have come a long way and I find myself feeling so grateful for having reached this stage and I am keen to improve on my success and, believe it or not, I feel less impatient about this because I feel less panicky about my issues. I sort of feel that I am growing up and getting more confident."
Subsequent sessions involved rescuing her two year old self from similar situations, she also felt trapped and terrified. She also had to work on her adult memories and anger towards her doctor and the frightening experiences she has had with invasive medical procedures and testing. She made continual progress and was finally able to release totally this extreme fear of dying and doctors.
