EFT for self help

EFT can be learnt in a few minutes.  To be masterful with EFT is a lifelong journey however.  The trick with EFT is in the use of the words to tune into the problem and EFT workshops are a great place to learn how to this. If you are keen to get started there are some basic principles which will ensure success below.  Give it a go!


How to get started with Emotional Freedom Techniques

1.  NOTICE THE PROBLEM

What is the problem?  Notice what tension, pain, memory, craving is bothering you.  Name it and be as specific and detailed as possible.  How does it make you feel?  Can you give it an intensity number on a scale of 0 to 10?

2.  ADDRESSING THE PROBLEM

Say 3 times out loud if possible as you tap on the side of your hand (karate chop point) "Even though I have this ....(describe the problem)...I truly and deeply accept myself"

3.  CLEARING THE PROBLEM

Tap with two fingers on the  acupunture points shown in the diagram below saying a few reminder words about the problem "this problem" to focus your attention.  Tap the crown of your head last with all your fingertips.

4.  DO IT AGAIN (If necessary)

NOW ... Take a deep breathe and close your eyes for a moment.  Tune into the problem again.  Notice what has changed or what emerges.  Measure again and repeat 123 on the remainder of the problem or another aspect of the problem or feeling which may have arisen in place of the original one.
